From the brand
How we got our start?
While living in Pakistan with her husband Kumy, Ann Thariani found a remarkable terra cotta Foot Scrubber that tamed even her wild feet. In 1990, they formed Gilden Tree and brought them to the US. Within a few years they began working with a friend to develop the best Natural Cotton Waffle Towels.
What makes our product unique?
Our Classic Waffle Bath Towels are like the ones we fell in love with while traveling in Europe. Since 1995, weâve made our towels from chemical-free Natural Cotton and theyâre Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified. Theyâre soft, absorbent, quick drying, come in lots of colors and last a long time.
Why we love what we do?
We are proud to have been among the first companies encouraging natural, chemical-free towel manufacturing in Pakistan, where groundwater is precious and contamination is always a risk. We love how our soft, waffle towels make life simpler, without sacrificing on style or function.
When we began Gilden Tree in 1990, we made a commitment to doing things the right way, for the environment and for the people who make, sell and buy our products.
We are proud to have been among the first companies encouraging environmentally-responsible manufacturing.
Our Waffle Bath Towels will change the way you think about bath towels - prepare to have your mind blown.

With simple, classic styling, our towels are woven flat in a small waffle pattern, with two woven bands of tiny waffles and French seams at each end, making them not only beautiful, but durable and long-lasting.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE THEM
Thick terry towels can take forever to dry, which can make them stinky. Waffle towels are lightweight, absorbent, incredibly quick-drying and lint free - plus they store in much less space.
Thinner and flatter when new, our towels puff up after washing to form luxurious little honeycombs that are the hallmark of waffle weave. Plus they just get softer and nicer the longer you use them.
WHY WAFFLE WEAVE?
Nothing is more disappointing than stepping out of the shower, only to find that your towel is still damp! Terry towels often hold moisture deep in their loops, especially in humid environments, which can cause them to get stinky and mildewy.
Waffle weave towels are different. Theyâre naturally flat and after washing and shrinking form small honeycombs exposing more surface area that allows them to breath and stay fresh.
Launder with warm water and 1/2 cup vinegar the first time you wash your towels to help soften them and remove any wax left on the fibers.
Wash like colors together and wash items with hooks and velcro separately.
Tumble dry low, or dry on a clothesline. (Unlike terry, waffle does not get âstiffâ when dried on a clothesline.)
Avoid fabric softeners and dryer sheets, which coat fibers and reduce absorbency.
If you have especially hard water, add 1 cup of baking soda to wash for a gentle and natural way to keep towels nice and soft.

As we continue to smooth out the final kinks with our recent upgrade to MediaWiki 1.35, we are happy to share that a few of the reported issues from the initial release have been resolved. The issue involving broken functions related to user emails have been resolved.
Additionally, a known issue of Encyclopedia Pokemonis desktop links being broken for logged out users, affecting the ability for our wiki to externally link to other language affiliates has been resolved.
Currently, Bulbapedia tech is prioritizing addressing the following issues affecting user site navigation and experience:
A known issue of CentralAuth functionality affecting users and their ability to globally log into/link accounts
A known issue of the newly formatted RecentChanges design being completely broken. The old version has been set as default and users are encouraged to disable the new design in their preferences until we can fix it.
A full list of known issues related to the MediaWiki 1.35 upgrade, as well as features and updates on our progress of addressing them, can be found on our changelog. The changelog talk page may be used to report many new issues that have not been recorded so our tech can work to address them as soon as possible.
